So today the boys lost. 3-2.
Last year, I started getting really into the men's hockey games after going to one with a friend. Josh and I ended up going to a few more games after and promised each other that we'd go to more this year. I think we both just got so busy that we forgot to check the schedule and we missed all the games until the NESCAC semi-finals. Last weekend, Bowdoin played Colby and beat them. Yesterday, they played Hamilton and beat them 6-2! Today, we lost to Middlebury. It was such a crazy game. Everyone was saying how it was the worst reffed game they've ever seen. We finally caught up to them and tied the game 2-2 in the 3rd period but in the last minute and a half, Middlebury scored their last goal and took the game from us. I think my heart sank at that point. I just felt bad for the guys. Bowdoin is a great team but they do lack puck handling skills. It just sucks because their goalie, Chris Rossi who is A-MA-ZING, is graduating and won't be back next year. I'm hoping they'll either get a new goalie who is up to Rossi's standards or that one of the guys they have now will get good enough. Either way, it just won't be the same without him.
I think Josh and I finally found a sport to get into and this makes me super happy! It's nice to have something we both like that we can get excited about. It'll be fun to go to games next year at Bowdoin and maybe even some pro games.
This post is kind of rambling but I felt the need to update :)

Vacation
Today is the start of my winter break. At my school we have one week in February and one week in March. I had totally forgotten that we had break this week...I was all ready to go to class today! I figured since I'm not somewhere gorgeous and warm with white sand beaches (sigh...), I'll spend this week figuring out stuff for my friend's bridal shower. She's getting married on May 8th and I'm the Maid of Honor. I've never done this before so I didn't exactly know what my responsibilities were until we looked them up. I'm sort of way behind...but like I said, I have this week to get things rolling :) I've been spending the afternoon today looking at websites about themes and stuff but it's hard to find something that would fit her. She doesn't really like tea, or spa stuff which are some of the more popular themes and are what seems to be on EVERY website I look at. So if you have any unique ideas, comment and let me know! I have a few ideas that I'm going to bring to her to see what she thinks. So we'll see!
My desk is a mess but I don't really feel like cleaning it or organizing it. I'm in like a lazy/bored mood. I feel like doing SOMETHING, I'm just not sure what.
I want to go shopping for nail polish :) hehe.

Valentine's Day 2010
It's my first post on a new blog. I also have a Tumblr which I find myself using less and less. I only really use it to follow some celebrity blogs and then to just reblog pictures, quotes, or music I like. A lot of the blogs that I've been reading (including my boyfriend's) are on here so I thought I'd join in on the fun :)
Basically, this blog is going to be for anything that I feel like writing about. I may post pictures about stuff I get when I go shopping (like cool nail polishes...I've really been into those lately, or jewelry, or music, or anything really), or about shows and movies that I go see, or if I have a really shitty day and feel like venting...here is where I'll do it. So if you feel like reading or following, awesome! If not, thanks for stopping by :)
Happy Valentine's Day to anyone who is reading this! I'm one of those people who never really liked Valentine's Day. I'll admit, I wasn't that popular in junior high or high school. I had a small group of friends and that was enough for me. But I hated seeing all the other popular girls with all their flowers and stuffed animals from their friends. It all just made me feel pretty lame. I'm not going to sit here and complain about how we don't need a holiday to show love to one another because I don't necessarily agree with that (although, showing love to someone doesn't have to be JUST on February 14th) but I do feel that this day leaves a lot of people out. Luckily, I am in a relationship so I do have someone special to share it with but I think back to my younger years and remember that not everybody has that. I think all the single people should get together and celebrate! Or celebrate with your friends and family!
I'm just staying in with the boy, making spaghetti and meatballs and probably watching a movie. I hope everyone has a great day and night, no matter what you're doing.
